Please follow the after-treatment guidelines below to ensure your skin is cared for properly. Please note that slight soreness, small bumps and redness are common and perfectly normal temporary reactions, particularly if this is your first wax. You can apply antiseptic cream and/or Ice the treated area. Always wash your hands before applying any product.
• Hair to be waxed should be at least 1/2 cm or 1/4 inch long, about the length of a grain of rice.
• Don’t apply creams, lotions or gels to the area being waxed the day of your appointment.
• Don’t sunbathe 24 hours before or after your treatment. Tanning before treatment can cause the skin to lift.
• If you have a low pain tolerance, take an aspirin or ibuprofen 30 min before your appointment to reduce discomfort.
• Wear comfy undies; you don’t want super tight clothing irritating your fresh wax.
• Keep the waxed area clean and avoid heat and friction during the next 24-48 hours:
• NO hot baths or showers (cool to lukewarm water only).
• NO saunas, hot tubs or steam treatments.
• NO tanning (sunbathing,—sun beds—or fake tans).
• NO sport, gym, workouts or other exercise.
• AVOID scratching or touching the treated area.
• WEAR clean, loose fitting clothes.
• AVOID swimming in chlorinated pools.
• NO deodorants, body sprays, powders, lotion, perfumed products or other products to the treated area for 24 hours,
• After 24 Hours it is vital that you apply a good quality moisturizer.
• Do not undertake any other skincare treatments within 48 hours of a waxing treatment.
• For long term improvements, book regular treatments (every 4-6 weeks). You may notice a small amount of re-growth after a week or so. It can take up to four treatments for your hair to get on a growth cycle that gives the best results. Hair needs to be at least 1/2 cm or 1/4 inch long before it can be successfully removed by waxing.
• Do not shave between treatments.
• For in-grown hairs, use an exfoliator.
